A praise: Last night during community outreach in town, my group started chatting with an 18 year old boy named Thai who is new to the area and is alone here. He sleeps in the street. He allowed us to pray over him, and he said he knows God loves him because each time he comes close to dying God saves him. It seems like he holds a lot of guilt and unforgiveness from things that happened in the past. We had invited him to come to worship on campus last night, and he showed up! Praise God! Pray that God would be at work in his heart.
Quiet time: At the beginning of this week I decided to get up early everyday and have a date with Jesus first thing. At first I wasn’t looking forward to getting up early because I’m not a morning person. God has given me His supernatural strength. I haven’t been tired. I’m always up and ready to go when my alarm goes off. It even seems like I get up a little earlier each day because I just want more time to bask in God’s goodness. I’m so glad I’m doing this in the morning because it really sets my day off to a good start with the right focus, with a focus on God instead of myself. And God deserves the best hours of my day. It is wonderful to see the sun come up over the hills in one direction and see the ocean and crashing waves in the distance in the other direction. I really cherish my quiet time each morning. It’s actually my favorite part of the day!
Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the floor each morning the devil says, "Oh Crap, She's up!"
