God is GLORIOUS!

I've completed my 1st full week of YWAM! Our speaker this week, Don Stephens, really made me think. I learned a lot about the Kingdom. The thing that Jesus talked about most in the Gospel was the Kingdom. It was the central message of Jesus' earthly message. The Kingdom of God is basically every place where the will of God is being done; it is the territory of Christ, inclusive of all creation, entrusted with all authority, invisible, and absolute. It is not arrogant, political, or judgmental. It is concerned about justice, poverty and the oppressed, locked in daily conflict with darkness, it is relational, it sanctifies the common.  It's God's intention and dream for all creation; to take the glory of God to every nation. The law of the Kingdom is love God, and love others.  I also learned about 7 spheres, or mountains, that can be influenced for the Kingdom: business, education, arts, government, family, media, and church. When we send people out from the church we influence these spheres, and when the light of God touches these spheres, the glory of God and the Kingdom appear. I would like to be a light to the sphere of art, to celebrate the goodness, truth, and beauty that reflects God the artist. Pray that I can have time to process what I hear in lectures, and gain understanding and hear the things I need, because I get so much information each day that a lot of it just seems to go over my head.

Hearing some things about the glory of God got me thinking about this video and talk of Paris Reidhead:
