Yesterday I learned a lot about hearing God's voice. This is something I have a hard time with, so I'm hoping I will be able to gain more understanding of this in the weeks to come. God's voice can be heard through His Word, the inner voice of the Holy Spirit, the advice and council of godly people, the audible voice of God, dreams, visions, angels, peace and inner convictions, and circumstances - it's a lot to grasp! We signed up for community outreaches, and I chose treasure hunters. This is where we go out into the community to share and pray with whoever God lays on our heart. I've never done anything like this before, so I'm excited for the challenge. Pray for me as I go out for the first time tomorrow and every Wednesday in the weeks to come. As far as overseas outreach, they'll announce locations on Friday, I'll have 15 minutes to ask God where He wants me to go, and I'll find out for sure where I'll be going by Tuesday. Today one of my leaders shared about having quiet time, something I've been struggling with having consistently in my daily life. I really want to start having more of a daily walk of surrender, so I'm going to be getting up early and starting each day off with quiet time. I'm not a morning person, but I think God should come first in my day, so pray that I would have perseverance and tenacity to keep getting up and giving God the best part of my day.
The Lord longs to be gracious to you; He rises up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him! - Isaiah 30:18
