The speaker for this week was Don Gillman. He didn’t really have a specific topic for the week, he just told a lot of stories from his life. He had a crazy life transformation. In high school he was big time into drugs and alcohol, the leader of a gang, obsessed with death, and stole cars all the time for entertainment. When God radically got a hold of him, he gave his life to full time missions. He has so many crazy stories of near death experiences and how God has guided him through all of them and gave him protection. I learned a lot about the will of God, finding your calling, a life in missions, and living a fearless life of obedience to God. Sometimes fears can keep us from what we were designed to do. The devil makes us feel like we can't do anything in that area, he makes us feel insufficient and fearful of it so we won't do it. The area that we are called to often is what we are tested at the most. I think after this week many of us are considering going into full time missions. It has been really cool to see transformation happening in people’s lives here.
Prayer request: I haven’t been feeling good the last few days. I haven’t been able to keep anything in my stomach and have been nauseous. I’ve been feeling better today, but still haven’t eaten much. Prayers for healing would be much appreciated :)
