Last summer the Lord was putting a special place on my heart: Ellerslie. This is a training school located in Windsor, Colorado. The leaders of Ellerslie, Eric and Leslie Ludy, inspired me to really pursue Jesus through the books that they wrote which I began reading in my last year of high school. I believe that it was through their teachings that I was led to drop everything, pick up my cross, and follow Jesus, which then led me to do YWAM, which then sent me on a whole new great adventure with Jesus.
So I applied to Ellerslie last summer, knowing thats what would be in store for this summer, but not fully understanding God's whole purpose in it, or why I would need this training in this season. But through this last year and time spent in intercession, the Lord began showing me pieces of training needed in order to fulfill the commission He has given me. I know this coming season at Ellerslie will be an impacting one that will go above and beyond my expectations because Jesus is preparing me for what is to come.
Last semester the Lord spoke to me and said that He was going to take me into a place of leadership and release a Moses anointing on me. At the time I was not even sure what He meant by that, and I was struggling against the leadership part, since I had never viewed myself as being gifted in leadership. After He spoke that to me, just weeks after, I was thrown into various leadership roles that I had not even been looking for at all. They were divinely set up in a way that was totally unexpected. Then I began reading through Exodus. I saw many similarities between Moses and I. The Lord commissioned Moses to lead his people out of slavery. But Moses said who am I to go? He didn't believe he had the voice or leadership to do it. He argued with God for a bit, but then said yes, and he delivered the people from their bondage, leading them to freedom. The Lord began speaking to me about how He wants me to free sex trafficked slaves. And that what I've been doing with raising awareness, giving money, etc is literally freeing sex-slaves. But the truth is, once these girls are rescued, they are not truly free. Their trauma runs deep. They are still in bondage emotionally and spiritually. Then the Lord told me that the reason He is leading me into counseling is so that the captives that are rescued can then truly be set free. They have chains that need to be identified and broken in Jesus' name. They need an intercessor who can prophesy into their lives and show them their royal identity as daughters of a God who intensely loves them.
I know that I can only give to others what I have received. I know there are still things I have to walk through with the Mighty Counselor. I need a season of gazing upon the face of Jesus, dying completely to myself, being baptized afresh, and being set free even more. That is exactly what Ellerslie Leadership Training encompasses. Not to mention, that the word LEADERSHIP is in the name of the training. I know God is preparing me for something great to do in partnership with Him, so I am excited to see what this next season at Ellerslie holds, and the revelations that are to be gained from it.
