Costa Rica’s streets and homes are sprawling with
injustices as domestic abuse, sexual exploitation, and sex trafficking have
become the norm of culture – but this isn’t normal and should not be tolerated.
Karina has been fighting diligently for years to see hope restored in the lives
of those coming out of hard situations in her home country of Costa Rica. She
is gifted in the arts, and has used her interior design skills acquired in
university to help design restorative homes for girls coming out of sex
trafficking. She is very gifted in research, learning about law, networking, relating
with those out on the streets through her compassionate heart, and equipping
others to do what they can to be a part of bringing restoration. She has been
to many places including the Netherlands, India, China, and Brazil (where she
staffed a Shine Seminar and I had the joy of doing life with her for 6 weeks of
training and outreach as we engaged with others of all nations to discuss how
we can be a part of bringing justice and restoration). This girl walks in
integrity as she confronts difficult things, and she has a heart to empower
those who are in front of her, as she believes that every person – no matter
their economic status, education, nationality, personality, gender, etc – is
created with dignity, worth, value, and purpose, and should be loved from the
inside out. She especially has a heart for children, and seeing them raised in
a way that will empower them, rather than degrade them. I have learned much
from this woman of great faith, not only from her training and plethora of
experiences, but from her personal life and testimony. If you desire to partner
with Karina as she continues to be faithful wherever she is, you can do so
