Made Strong

Made strong, to pour out. This message perfectly articulated everything the Lord has been working in me the last few years since I became a Christian. I need to be bent, and brought low to my face in light of my weakness and God’s perfect holiness. I can only be enabled to walk life if I am in Christ - if He is my strength. It is His pattern to break me and out of my broken and contrite heart, a surrendered life, an open vessel, He fills me with His Spirit and His strength so I can be of use and I can have victory and power to walk the triumphant Christian life. I need to get out of the way, and follow Him in surrender. It is His pattern to lift us out of our brokenness and make us strong so that we can start focusing outward and pouring our life out for others, as a fragrant offering for our King’s glory. He is fortifying my wall and strengthening my feeble frame so that I can become a rescuer and intercessor for girls trapped in bondage, for the 27 million forced into slave prostitution. He requires all of us, every aspect of our life. There is no such thing as part-time Christianity. When we’re fully given, He takes us and builds us into His image. We can be like David, and with a stone knock down a giant. Because we have the Spirit of the Living God in us! I am desperate for the Holy Spirit to show up in my life. Without Him, I am left with nothing. I have no backup plan.
I want to be found in the place of Mary of Bethany, at the feet of Jesus. She poured out a bottle of spikenard perfume upon Him. It costed a year’s wages (worth at least $20,000-$30,000). And she poured it out upon His head because she knew He was worth every drop of it. She was a woman of no compromise. She saw the beauty of Jesus and gave Him everything.
