Dependence

Unlocking the mystery of godliness… Our culture is built on independence. But we need to learn how to be dependent on our Heavenly Father.
From the notes - The intent of man (the lamp): man was designed to be a light, a receptacle of God’s presence, a conductor of God’s current. The light of God’s glory was meant to shine forth from man’s yielded life. But this hinged upon a cause/effect relationship. When man depends on God (the cause, the electrical current, the Power) then man shines forth like a brilliant sun, demonstration to the entire heavens the glory that is God’s. But man has no power in himself to bring light to his lamp. The power of God is necessary to bring about the light.
I can showcase forth the glory of God. Man can be the visible, physical demonstration of an invisible God. Woah!
The Music Room… The heart is like a music room – grand instruments lie about the great room. The instruments themselves are not good or bad, righteous or unrighteous, godlike or satanic, they are either pure or impure, and that differentiation hinges on which musician the soul lends its instruments to. The Spirit unto Righteousness, or the Flesh unto Sin and death. The first step upward is to take the decision of abiding in Christ seriously and make it your entire moment’s focus. The first step downward is to take it lightly, and deem the instrument room a non-exclusive room for the enjoyment of many. If you are controlled by the Holy Spirit, you can’t have life on your terms anymore. You must allow Jesus and Him alone to be the one to play the musical instruments. If you are found in the person of Jesus, you are untouchable by the enemy.
