Jesus has been overwhelming me by the love He gives to sustain His children every day. We will truly never run dry when we receive His living water and enter into His presence and sit at His feet. His love sustains. The Lord showed me a picture a few weeks ago of the value he holds for us. Seeing this picture has revealed to me more of my identity when I see the value I have in His eyes.
I had a vision of this room with an extremely high ceiling. There were hundreds of clear, glass tubes, or bars, that lined the wall, but I knew which of them was mine specifically. These were "value bars", or just basically how Jesus sees our value and how much we are worth to Him. Every single one of these tubes was filled with bright golden light that was filled to the fullest all the way up to the ceiling, and the tube was closed and sealed tight at the top. The bar never changes; the golden light is always at the top. However, there was something that did change. The enemy had control to manipulate the lighting in the room. The enemy brought darkness to deceive and give the illusion that the bar becomes lower. Satan wanted to make it look as if our value can change, and go up and down, depending on what we do, or that we hold more or less value than others. The lighting in the room made each bar appear to have only a very small amount of golden light, that shifted in comparison to others.
We have complete value in the unchangeable love of our Abba Father. We mustn't be fooled by the darkness. If only we could see our value through eyes of light, through the eyes of the Father. If only we didn't give in to the trap of comparison, thinking others hold value over us, or we are more valuable than others. We need to have the faith to believe that our bar does go to the top of the ceiling, even if we can't see it amidst the blinding deception of the enemy. The truth is, beloved, that Christ loved us at our darkest. His agape love is unconditional. We do not please Him by works. Yes, it moves His heart when He gets the gift that He gave up His son for, our voluntary love. It pleases Him when we respond to His love by giving Him love back and loving those around us. But the truth is that He has unconditional love. It is unchanging. His love never changes. He will always look upon us with eyes filled with love, even though He hates the sin we walk in and how prone we are to have "other lovers" or idols in our life, our value never changes. We are loved by the Father because He is love. When we catch this revelation, there is so much freedom to be had. Our value bar is always set as high as it can be, and it doesn't change. This makes me want to love Jesus all the more and do things for Him out of a heart overflowing with love, not because I feel like I have to in order for Him to love me more. Let Jesus give you a revelation of His love today and know that you have high, high worth and value in His eyes because He created you just as you are and loves every little thing about you, and it moves His heart when you respond to His love.
