A couple months ago, the Lord was speaking to me about places I'm going to be led into in the future, and darkness I'll be battling, and I became overwhelmed with where to start. What do I need to do to be effective in what Jesus is calling me into, and what training should I be receiving? I think the vision I received can apply to everyone's walk with Jesus - hope this encourages.
The Lord spoke this to me and revealed this picture, He said:
"Joy, your life is a beautiful picture. I know you want to see it and know the whole story now, but I like surprises, and I am only going to give you one piece of the puzzle at a time. I will give you the piece, and you must place it down where it belongs. Don't waste your time looking for the pieces, it is I who gives them to you. As you grow, it will become easier to see where to place down the piece, and you too will begin to see the beautiful picture. Don't worry if the picture isn't beautiful to begin with. It will look incomplete, disorganized, and unfamiliar, but as you allow me to piece it together and as you are faithful to place down the pieces, the work in progress will end up a masterpiece. Many people can't complete their masterpiece because they stop looking for where to place down the piece, they're too busy looking for all the other pieces. Others complete their work, but there are holes from missing pieces that they didn't take from my hand and place down into the puzzle; either they were distracted looking for a different piece, or they didn't trust that the piece I was giving them would fit into the puzzle. Some people make the process of putting together a puzzle so difficult because they try to do it their way. I'm the one who designed the picture and knows every piece and where it belongs. Trust me for each piece and place every piece down, add it to your picture because in the end, it will be a beautiful masterpiece that I will hang in the gallery of my house and I will never grow tired of telling the story of the picture to everyone who enters."
