Fruitfulness From Intimacy

Heidi Baker's life has really impacted my life deeply. Seeing the way that she loves the orphan and those who are overlooked, and hearing her message of intimacy with Jesus has started to take root in me. We can only make lasting impact and be fruitful in ministry if it flows from intimacy with the Father. Life is about loving Jesus, and loving the ones He places in front of you. It's about allowing yourself to be filled with the Holy Spirit, allowing Jesus to consume your heart so you can display His love to a lost world. Sometimes I become overwhelmed with the calling the Lord has placed on my life: to set the captives free. There are at least 27 million slaves in the world - more today than at any other time in history. Every girl rescued from sex trafficking has so much trauma and weight of abuse on her. How am I to rescue them and truly set them free emotionally and spiritually when the pain is so deep, and there are so many? This video really spoke to me about this question. Mother Teresa said, "If you can't feed 100 people, just feed one." It is my job to just stop for the one. I can't save the world. I can't save every slave. I can't even save one unless Jesus fills me with Himself and gives me the grace and ability through Him to do it. He is the Healer. He is the Restorer. He is the Rescuer. But I am to be obedient with what He gives me. If He places a girl in front of me and gives me His heart to love her, than I am to start there. It will be worth my whole life, all my training, all of my time, if I can just reach one girl and open her eyes to the beauty of Jehovah Rapha, the Lord our Healer.
